Milan sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli says it’s “exaggerated” to talk about Gigio Donnarumma leaving – “clubs will make their offers and we’ll see if they satisfy us”.
The goalkeeper is being linked with a summer exit, not least because Napoli’s Pepe Reina is expected to sign on a free transfer in July.
“It seems exaggerated to talk about these things,” Mirabelli told Sky.

“It seems exaggerated to talk about these things,” Mirabelli told Sky.
“The clubs, if there are any, will make their offers and we’ll see if they satisfy us. Donnarumma is part of the future of Italian football, he’s worth a lot.
“We know the market, and we really think he’s worth a lot. We haven’t budgeted for selling him.
“We’ll wait and then do what we have to do. That applies to everyone, we want players who want to participate in our project. We want people who are convinced.
“If a player is to leave it takes two things: they have to tell us that, and there has to be a satisfactory offer.
“We hope he stays with us and it’s the same for other players. If a player comes to us and says he wants to leave, the club he wants will have to satisfy Milan.
“Donnarumma hasn’t come to us to tell us that he wants to leave. We are working to strengthen the team, not to dismantle it.”
The Rossoneri have secured Europa League football for next year, and Mirabelli was asked about the summer strategy.
“We have reached our first goal, Europe, but we must defend sixth place. We all dreamed of something different but it’s difficult when we restarted in one year and assembled a team, it takes time.
“We’ll absolutely keep the big lads for next year. Our goal is to open a cycle by forming a team with young and strong players. We are Milan, we do not want to dismantle the team but reinforce it.
“We couldn’t think of winning right away, we are building an important Milan to win the next few years.
“Andrea Belotti? We don’t talk about players from other teams. We have clear ideas on what to do with Rino Gattuso.”
