Milan may have to face Tottenham in their Champions League knock-out clash without Brahim Diaz, who proved the difference maker in the first leg.

The 23-year-old Spanish forward scored the only goal in the Rossoneri’s vital victory over Spurs on Valentine’s Day, a match in which the hosts could’ve had one or two goals more. He did not take part in Milan’s 2-1 loss to Fiorentina on the weekend after suffering a knee injury and now could be forced to the sidelines again.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Diaz again trained separately from his teammates at Milanello today, putting him in serious doubt for Milan’s upcoming clash with Tottenham.

Tomorrow’s training session will decide if or not he’ll join the squad for the trip to North London, but regardless he will not start, with Rade Krunic ready to take his place as the number 10.

The 23-year-old Diaz has scored four goals and provided two assists in 21 Serie A appearances this season.
