Eusebio Di Francesco warns “Liverpool are not just Mohamed Salah” ahead of Roma’s Champions League semi-final first leg.

The former Giallorossi forward has been in sensational form for the Reds this season, but the Coach isn’t just focusing on stopping him.

“We can’t focus on a single player,” Di Francesco cautioned in his pre-match Press conference.

“Liverpool are not just Salah, the front-three combine really well together and that’s not insignificant.

“We haven’t prepared this game with one player in mind. When preparing the game we have to concentrate on their strongest players, but we’re not targeting a single player.

“Would I have liked to coach Salah? I’m happy to have young players like [Cengiz] Under, who has great potential, I never thought about coaching Salah.”

Jurgen Klopp praised his opposite number in his Press conference, stating that he could see similarities with himself.

“Klopp was very nice in his conference, with his joke about the glasses and the beard. I like his football philosophy very much, he’s shown it here and at Borussia Dortmund.

“I’m happy and worried to be facing him, in the other dugout I’ll find a Coach who is very tied to his ideas.

“I have a lot more to do, but I’m happy to play this semi-final, with the ambition to go through.”

Klopp ruled out a move to Serie A, stating that he can only say “spaghetti” in Italian, but would his opposite number like a Premier League job?

“In my job you’re a professional, but my main thought is holding tight to Roma,” Di Francesco replied.

“One day… never say never. It’s exciting for anyone to coach and play in an English stadium.

“Klopp can only say spaghetti in Italian, but I can only say ‘hamburger’ in English, so we’re on par!”

Allison has been linked with a move to Anfield….

“Alisson is part of our team, he’s an important player and he’s ready for this challenge, just like all the 22 players called-up for this game.”
