The Gialloblu were deducted three points and fined €200,000 at the start of the season for falsifying player-sale accounts.

That was followed by the Flying Donkeys becoming the first Serie A side to suffer relegation, but the Coach is ready to take them back up.

“I am happy to be here, and we are ready for Serie B next season,” he explained.

“We need to see what the club’s plans are, on my part I am available and would be honoured to try and get Chievo back to Serie A.

“Emanuel Vignato proved his worth again today and kept up his good form since scoring against Lazio last week. I’m happy he was called up to the national team get-together.

“We keep our hopes up because we are Chievo and we deserve better than what the table says.

“We have been penalised, not only by the point deduction, but also by decisions on the field.”
