Paolo Di Canio continues his criticism of Inter players, this time taking aim at centre-back Milan Skriniar. “He doesn’t know what to do when he’s not man-marking.”

The now-retired forward has never held back when it comes to his opinions as a Sky Sport Italia pundit, famously and repeatedly claiming Romelu Lukaku can’t score in big games.

“I think we as pundits need to focus on the details and not go overboard with some praise,” said Di Canio.

“I think we as pundits need to focus on the details and not go overboard with some praise,” said Di Canio.

“Skriniar is good, he’s excellent at man-marking, being close to his opponent and keeping the pressure on. However, when the opponent is at a distance, he doesn’t know what to do. He gets confused.

“We saw it against Barcelona and Lazio. With Juventus, he should’ve intercepted the Blaise Matuidi cross at the by-line, instead he pulled his foot out of the way.”
