The latest rumour from Tuttomercatoweb is that Fonsenca isn’t entirely convinced by the project presented to him.

It would be a three-year contract worth €2.5m per season, but his family is also fairly content in Ukraine and not eager to move on.

De Zerbi of Sassuolo would therefore become the favourite, although a new option is Di Biagio.

A former Roma midfielder, Di Biagio is at the helm of the Italy Under-21 squad, who go into the European Championships later this month.

He also temporarily took the senior Italy job as caretaker manager before Roberto Mancini’s appointment in May 2018.
