Milan's new signing Mattia Destro wants to ‘live up to the magic’ of his chosen shirt number, as he thanks former club Roma.
The 23-year-old completed his move to the Rossoneri earlier today and picked the No 9, previously donned by the likes of George Weah, Marco van Basten and his own new Coach Pippo Inzaghi.
Taking to his official Twitter profile today, the forward said that he understands its significance.

Destro also took the opportunity to thank his former club.
“United for three years. I haven't had the time to say goodbye to you but friendships are not lost, even when you change team! Thanks for everything, Roma.”
