Mattia Destro has arrived in Milan to complete his transfer to the Rossoneri, and says he’s ‘delighted’ to be signing.

The striker arrived at Milano Centrale on a train from Rome at around 4pm GMT, and was immediately swamped by fans and journalists.

“All that matters is I’m here, and I want to start working right away,” Destro said on his arrival.

“I’m delighted to be at Milan. Am I impressed by this reception? Yes.”

As well as many fans, the Italian international was also greeted by the club’s joint-CEO Adriano Galliani.

Destro is expected to to move on an initial €700,000 loan until the end of the season, with the Diavolo having the option of making the move permanent for a fee of around €15m-€16.5m.
