Destro was greeted by media and fans at the Milano Centrale station this afternoon, as he arrived to complete his initial loan move from Roma.
Before accompanying the player on to La Madonnina clinic to undergo medical tests, Milan’s joint-CEO offered his reaction to the welcome received.
“I was pleasantly surprised when I saw so many people for Mattia, I did not expect it,” Galliani has commented, as reported by MilanNews.it.
“I'm happy. Enthusiasm is important, but I hope that it can be turned into positive results.”
Galliani then turned to discussing Milan's other transfer plans, indicating that they are at an end.
“[Giampaolo] Pazzini will stay. As for [Pablo] Armero, we have an agreement with Genoa, but for now the player does not accept the destination. [Luca] Antonelli is not part of the deal.
“Our incoming market is closed. [M'Baye] Niang is a Milan player on loan to Genoa until the end of the season and I wish him the best. [Ezequiel] Munoz is not coming.”
