The 23-year-old has barely featured this season under Rudi Garcia and is increasingly frustrated with the situation.

There were suggestions on Friday evening that the Giallorossi opened the door to a possible loan deal with Milan CEO Adriano Galliani.

“I can confirm that I had a meeting with Roma and Sabatini, but I have not spoken to Galliani,” agent Claudio Vigorelli told Sportitalia.

“Milan? We’ll talk about it after the derby, but I repeat there are no new developments on that front.

“Destro will remain at Roma and his rapport with Garcia is excellent.”

The Rossoneri are also reported to be offering Giampaolo Pazzini as part-exchange if they do try to get Destro on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims today that President Silvio Berlusconi gave the go-ahead for Destro, but only if Pazzini is disposed of first.
