Former Chievo and Juventus boss Luigi Delneri is set to return to football as Brescia’s technical director.
Sky Sport Italia reports the appointment should be made official soon after Delneri met Brescia owner Massimo Cellino and coach Diego Lopez yesterday.
Despite the Rondinelle’s likely relegation from Serie A, Lopez’s position is not endangered by the imminent arrival of Delneri.

The veteran, who turns 70 next month, is expected to be given full sporting-director powers, as well as coordination responsibilities for the club’s youth sector.
He has been out of work since leaving Udinese in November 2017 but remains much-travelled, having also worked at the likes of Porto, Roma, Sampdoria, Palermo and Verona.
