"I had an MRI yesterday which confirmed the outcome of my first visit to the doctor after a pain developed in the muscle of my right leg," Del Piero wrote on his official website.

"Luckily we are only dealing with a simple muscle fatigue. A few days rest will be enough for me to be back at the mister's disposition for our return on the pitch after the Christmas holidays on January 6 against Parma at the Olimpico.

"I am happy and relieved and I am only thinking about being in the best condition for the second half of the season.

"We end 2010 in a good position in the table and above all with every intention of still improving not just when we return on the pitch."
