La Gazzetta dello Sport understands that there is a clause in Benitez's contract that foresees a mutual termination at no cost only in the summer.

However, if Moratti were to look for a unilateral rescission of his contract today, it would amount to a cost of €8m in compensation for the remainder of his two-year deal including bonuses after winning two pieces of silverware, namely the Italian Super Cup and the Club World Cup.
