It was a dramatic day for Italian coaches in the Premier League, as Roberto De Zerbi got his first win by thrashing Chelsea 4-1 at Brighton, while Antonio Conte’s Tottenham came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at Bournemouth.

Former Sassuolo and Shakhtar Donetsk coach De Zerbi had put in some good performances, but was still looking for his first win on the Brighton and Hove Albion bench.

He got it on a very special day, the first for former Brighton boss Graham Potter back at the Amex Stadium since he was poached by Chelsea in September.

It was a poor return, as his replacement De Zerbi dominated 4-1 with Leandro Trossard, a bizarre pair of own goals and Pascal Gross.

Meanwhile, Conte was preparing for the worst when Tottenham were trailing 2-0 at Bournemouth, but mounted an extraordinary comeback in the second half to win 3-2 with ex-Juventus midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur sealing the winner.
