Brighton coach Roberto De Zerbi discussed his hopes for Juventus target Alexis Mac Allister, whose work at the World Cup has seen him draw attention from across Europe.

The 24-year-old Argentinian midfielder was a key player for Lionel Scaloni in Qatar, appearing in all but one of their games and providing an assist in the final against France. Mac Allister shot to prominence with his impressive performances at the World Cup and looks destined to make the jump to a top club in the near future.

Speaking in a press conference, De Zerbi discussed the interest in his players, including Juventus target Mac Allister.

“I would like to keep all our players here and I would also like to add others. My hope is that Caicedo and Mac Allister will stay with us.

“At the moment, however, I am only thinking about Arsenal, it will be a very difficult challenge.”

The 24-year-old Mac Allister, who is contracted to Brighton until 2025, has scored five goals across 14 Premier League appearances this season. Juventus are keen to add him to their midfield, ready to replace Adrien Rabiot, who is set to leave on a free transfer in the summer.
