“Our last two games of 2018 were disappointing and it’s irritating to have ended the year like that, so we want to start 2019 on the right foot.”

Sassuolo have injury problems in this fixture, missing Marlon, Federico Di Francesco, Claud Adjapong and Gian Marco Ferrari.

“We are one of the teams who started training earlier in 2019 precisely because we want to be ready and put in a strong performance against Napoli. We know that we’re up against the second strongest side in Serie A, but we fully intend to qualify for the next round, otherwise we wouldn’t even have made the trip.”
