Now The Mirror newspaper claims that talks over personal terms have already begun.

Valencia will be a free agent when his contract at Old Trafford expires in June and he intends to walk away after 10 years at the club.

The Ecuador international arrived from Wigan in 2009 as a winger, but has transformed into an effective right-back.

Although Manchester United do have an option to extend the contract by 12 months, it does not look as if they’re going to use it.
