There were reports over the last few days that De Rossi was being lined up as the new coach of the Primavera youth team, replacing his own father Alberto in the role.
This was expected to happen as a result of the club takeover on behalf of the Friedkin Group.
“I read about suggestions I was courting Roma, but I never put myself forward to anyone and I’ve no intention of starting now,” DDR told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
