Atalanta and Netherlands midfielder Marten de Roon found a way around the FIFA ban on using a One Love armband at the Qatar World Cup.

All the nations participating in the tournament have been warned that anyone wearing the armband showing support for LGBTQI+ rights would be automatically shown a yellow card.

This would lead to potential dismissals and certainly the build-up of cards culminating in several bans, so they backed down.

Negotiations and rows continue, including the German Federation threatening legal action against FIFA.

The Netherlands began their competition with a 2-0 win over Senegal yesterday and De Roon found a cheeky way around the ban.

He photoshopped the One Love armbands into the picture of the team celebrating their victory.
