Juventus full-back Paolo De Ceglie is set for a loan move to Sampdoria, according to reports.

The left-back spent the first half of last season on loan at Parma, but the Ducali’s financial problems and an injury to Kwadwo Asamoah saw him recalled by the Bianconeri as an alternative to Partice Evra.

However, after the arrival of Alex Sandro and the imminent return of Asamoah, the 28-year-old is once again surplus to requirements.

Calciomercato reports that talks are at an advanced stage for a loan move to Sampdoria, though the deal would contain no buyout clause.

The transfer is expected to be completed in the coming hours, with De Ceglie aware that he is unlikely to add to his six Serie A appearances for Juventus across the last two seasons.
