Frank de Boer has arrived in Italy, telling reporters “I’m happy to be here” ahead of joining Inter.

The Dutchman flew into Milan’s Linate airport at 18.37 local time this evening, as he’s set to replace Roberto Mancini on the Nerazzurri bench.

“I’ll see you tomorrow at the Press conference,” De Boer said.

“I hope we can have a lot of successes together this season. I’m happy to be here.”

The former defender won four Eredivisie titles during his time in charge of Ajax, and was assistant coach as the Netherlands reached the World Cup final in 2014.

De Boer represented clubs such as Ajax, Barcelona and Rangers during his playing career, as well as winning 112 caps for his country.
