Ex-Parma coach Roberto D’Aversa says he is studying English while waiting for new opportunities and adds he is ‘amazed’ by new Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo.

“In Parma we did something unrepeatable,” the 54-year-old told Tuttomercatoweb.

“I must think of the future, not the past.

“The desire to work is always there, today I take the opportunity to enjoy the family and keeping myself updated. I’m also studying English.

“Of course, as far as I was concerned, I expected something different, we made an incredible journey but when you change the sports director and the property you know that things go in a certain way.”

D’Aversa did also discuss the appointment of Andrea Pirlo by Juventus.

“I was amazed by his humility. He has ideas, it is also perceived from the world in which he played.

“The difficult thing can be transmitting his ideas but I was amazed by his humility.

“You see that he wants to learn and that he wants to launch himself into this world of coaches that is really difficult. I hope he can have a great career.”
