The full-back revealed he was surprised to start against Torino last weekend, but praised the way Mancini manages the squad.

“The Coach is very particular in his choices, and doesn’t always refer to previous matches,” D’Ambrosio told Premium Sport.

“The Coach is very particular in his choices, and doesn’t always refer to previous matches,” D’Ambrosio told Premium Sport.
“For example, I myself didn’t think I’d play at the Olimpico against the Granata, and I was only told about the decision in the pre-match meeting.
“Everyone must think about their own work and doing well, and every choice must be respected.
“The Coach keeps us in line and this is an important stimulus for everyone.
“Mancini knows how to manage the group very well, and then victories bring a lot of calmness.
“In general though, we have room for improvement, everyone knows that.”
