Diogo Dalot is set for a short-term stay at Milan as Manchester United want him to return to the Old Trafford after the end of his loan spell, reports in Italy claim.

The Portuguese right-back joined the Rossoneri on a dry loan deal from the Red Devils in the summer.

The 21-year-old scored the his first Milan goal in Europa League last night and provided an assist as well.

His stay at the San Siro, however, is going to be short term as Fabrizio Romano reports Manchester United want him to return to the club at the end of the current campaign. Apparently, the Red Devils are not open to dicussing a permanent transfer to Dalot to the San Siro.

The Premier League giants refused to include an option to buy the player on a permanent deal and believe he can be an important part of the club’s future.

As of today, Dalot is set to return to Manchester United at the end of the season.

The product of Porto academy has three appearances in all competitions so far thi season.
