Diogo Dalot is expected to arrive in Italy today for his Milan medical, completing the loan move from Manchester United, beating an offer from Roma.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the deal was struck late Friday night and the defender should already fly in for his medical today.

Roma had also made an approach for the right-back, but he has chosen the Rossoneri.

It’s reported Manchester United wanted a €30m fee for the 21-year-old, so Milan accepted a dry loan – without option to buy.

Dalot only moved to Old Trafford in the summer of 2018 from FC Porto for €22m, but managed just 11 competitive appearances last season, scoring one goal.

He struggled with injury throughout 2019.
