Diogo Dalot has reportedly given the green light to reunite with José Mourinho at Roma and the Giallorossi are in talks with Manchester United over an initial loan move.

The Portuguese right-back is one of Mourinho’s priority targets for January and according to Il Corriere dello Sport, the former Milan loanee is open to moving to Rome in the winter transfer window.

The Rome-based paper reports Dalot ‘has already said yes’ to the Giallorossi.

Dalot has been struggling with playing time at Old Trafford this season, having played just 226 minutes across all competitions.

Dalot won’t become the ‘next Neville’ as Mourinho pushes for January deal

According to the report, Roma and Manchester United are in talks over Dalot’s loan move to the Stadio Olimpico.

Dalot could return to Serie A on an initial loan move with an option to buy for €15m.

His move to the Capital would see Bryan Reynolds leave on loan to get regular playing time.

The American defender has only played three games this season, including Roma’s 6-1 defeat against Bodo/Glimt in Conference League.

In January, Roma will sign at least one right-back and a central midfielder with Borussia Monchengladbach’s Denis Zakaria on top of Mourinho’s shopping list to strengthen the team in the middle of the park.
