“I grew up watching Serie A and always wanted to play in this tournament. I chose Parma to discover this league via a club with great history.

“I love a challenge and Nice was a similar situation to Parma. I think I’ve already proved that I can play in a difficult league and am ready to give my contribution.”

Cyprien also got some advice from current Nice coach Patrick Vieira, who played in Italy for Milan, Juventus and Inter.

“Vieira left a real mark in Italy. We talked about the country and the league, as he was my tactician for three years. He told me not to think too hard, but to show what I can do.”
