The Coppa Italia Final tonight between Atalanta and Juventus will have 4,300 fans present, but only an emergency order means they won’t have to leave before the end.

The game is due to kick off at the Mapei Stadium in Reggio Emilia at 20.00 UK time (21.00 local time).

This means that it will end at just before 23.00, unless of course there’s extra time and penalties.

There is still a curfew in action ordering everyone home by 23.00 local time.

It was therefore entirely possible the crowd would have to leave before the final whistle or face fines on their way back home.

This has already been seen at another event with crowds present in Italy, the ATP tennis tournament in Rome, with the fans having to stream out during the match if it runs late.

Just hours before kick-off, the Minister for Health signed an emergency order allowing the curfew to be postponed from 23.00 local time to midnight, purely because of the Coppa Italia Final in the town of Reggio Emilia.

Fans are still not allowed into Serie A games for the final round of the season, as special dispensation was given for the Coppa Italia Final.
