Juventus received a boost with news Juan Cuadrado was back in training today and Weston McKennie is also recovering quicker than expected.

The Bianconeri begin their Serie A season this weekend against Sassuolo at the Allianz Juventus Stadium in Turin.

Cuadrado had been struggling with gastroenteritis, as confirmed by coach Max Allegri, for several days and that kept him out of training as well as the 4-0 friendly defeat to Atletico Madrid.

It was not clear how long it would take him to recover, but the Colombia international was in full training today, suggesting the problem has been resolved.

More good news was that McKennie worked partially with the group, as he continues the recovery process after dislocating his shoulder.

He had been ruled out for three weeks, but is recovering ahead of schedule.

Paul Pogba remains a long-term injury, while Adrien Rabiot – on the verge of a transfer to Manchester United – and Moise Kean are suspended for the opening Serie A game of the season anyway.
