Juan Cuadrado was fully involved with the rest of the Inter first team squad on Friday and is therefore thought to be available to face his former club Juventus in Sunday’s Derby d’Italia if required.

In fact, only two Nerazzurri players were not involved in Friday’s training session at Appiano Gentile according to TMW. Those were defenders Alsessandro Bastoni and Benjamin Pavard.

Cuadrado has struggled for fitness and playing time since securing a move from Juve to Inter at the beginning of the summer transfer window.

The Colombian had spent eight seasons in Turin before leaving upon the expiry of his contract at the end of the 2022-23 campaign to sign for Inter on a free transfer.

He has, however, only racked up less than 100 minutes of competitive action for the Nerazzurri thanks to an achilles issue in September and a new muscular injury at the beginning of October.

Though he is technically available for Sunday’s derby, Simone Inzaghi is expected to call upon regular starter Denzel Dumfries for the right wing-back position against Juventus.

TMW detail that Simone Inzaghi will not take any risks with Cuadrado and will only call upon him if he is fit enough and the situation requires it.
