Domenico Criscito has dismissed links with Milan, but the Italian international has admitted that he one day wants to return to Serie A.

The former Genoa and Juventus player, currently sidelined with knee ligament damage, plays his club football in Russia with Zenit St Petersburg.

“I keep a close eye on Serie A,” the 26-year-old commented in an interview with calciomercato.it.

“I do miss Italy and, sooner or later, I do hope to play football in my country again. Although I don’t know when.”

The full-back was paired with a possible switch to the Diavolo before picking up a knee injury earlier this year.

“I don’t know anything about Milan’s interest in me,” he continued. “For now, I’m just concentrating on recovering from injury and getting back into action.”
