The San Siro giants have had a problematic campaign and they are currently nine points adrift of the Champions League zone.

After failure in the Europa League and Coppa Italia as well, there are doubts whether Stramaccioni will remain on the bench.

“It would be tough,” Suarez, 77, stated when asked by Radio Mana Mana whether the former Primavera tactician would be confirmed.

“He is certainly not the only one to blame for their problems, the responsibility needs to be shared out.

“But the team is lacking a style of play and he hasn’t really inserted any youngsters into the side.”

Suarez, a Spaniard, spent nine years at Inter before his 1970 switch to Sampdoria. He also coached the Benemata, as well as being a club official.
