The home side are still without a first win of the season and these Cremonese vs. Lecce predictions suggest that they may have to wait a little longer yet.

Cremonese vs. Lecce odds

1 – The draw – 21/10

2 – Under 2.5 goals scored – 4/7

3 – Both teams to score – 1/1

4 – Gabriel Strefezza to score at any time – 7/2

5 – 1-1 at full time – 5/1

Davide Ballardini would have wanted three points from his first game in charge last week. But a 1-1 draw away at Bologna – and the point that came with it – will have been welcomed by the new Cremonese boss. The narrow defeat to Inter that followed showed that there may still be a chance of staying up.

The Grigiorossi are still rooted to the bottom of the table. But Sampdoria’s form has been so poor that a good result this weekend against Lecce could see them move up. Goals have not been too plentiful though, so it could well be that the home side will have to be happy with yet another draw.

The draw away at Bologna broke an unwanted run of four straight defeats but another point here would be a step in the right direction. Lecce are no pushovers but would probably be happy with a draw too, so a bet on a 1-1 finish could prove profitable.

After a good run of results before and after the winter break, Lecce have slumped in the last few weeks. A really good draw at home with Milan – where the Salentini were two goals up – has been followed by defeats at the hands of Hellas Verona and Salernitana, both relegation rivals.

Marco Baroni has brought in a new central defender to help bolster an injury-ravaged squad. But Mathias Bruns may not start here as Lecce look to keep tight at the back and counter attack when possible.

Although Lecce’s goal tally is not overly impressive, they have tended to concede fewer than most of the teams around them in the Serie A table. This is another reason why this game on Saturday could be a low-scoring affair.

Cremonese team news

Davide Ballardini will still be figuring out his best eleven from his new squad but could bring Cyriel Dessers back to the starting line-up to partner top goalscorer and compatriot David Okereke.

Lecce team news

After two defeats in a row, Marco Baroni may be tempted to change personnel – and that could mean a return to the starting XI for Assan Ceesay up front. He could take Lorenzo Colombo’s place but the rest of the side may remain the same for the time being.
