Newly-promoted Cremonese continue to bolster their squad, as while they wait for Cyril Dessers, medicals are booked for Luka Lochoshvili and Lazio midfielder Gonzalo Escalante.

The club secured promotion by finishing second in Serie B last term behind leaders Lecce, pushing Monza into the play-offs in the final round of the season.

They are trying to improve the players at the disposal of new coach Massimiliano Alvini.

According to Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato.com, Georgia international centre-back Lochoshvili will make the move from Wolfsberger, while winger Escalante can make the move on loan after struggling for playing time at Lazio and spending six months at Deportivo Alaves.

Georgia international defender Lochosvili had also been linked to a Serie A switch for Hellas Verona.

Dessers confessed yesterday that he is looking forward to joining Cremonese, who still need to work out the terms of the deal with KRC Genk.

The striker was on loan at Feyenoord last season and was top scorer in the Conference League.
