Juventus named an unusual XI for today’s rescheduled friendly against Atletico Madrid, as Moise Kean is dropped for disciplinary reasons.

The game was originally meant to be in Tel Aviv today, but was moved to Turin’s Continassa training ground following unrest in the area.

It will be played behind closed doors, but there were some surprises in Max Allegri’s side.

Kean is nowhere to be found and Sky Sport Italia report he is not injured, but rather was sent to the stands by Allegri as punishment for turning up late.

It’s hardly a new thing for the striker, who was famously dropped from the Italy Under-21 side for tardiness too.

Instead, youth team player Matias Soulé gets the nod.

Paul Pogba, Juan Cuadrado, Federico Chiesa, Luca Pellegrini and Weston McKennie are all out injured.

Alvaro Morata starts for Atletico Madrid against his former club, with negotiations for a return still continuing.

Juventus: Szczesny; Danilo, Bonucci, Bremer, Alex Sandro; Zakaria, Locatelli, Fagioli; Di Maria, Vlahovic, Soulé

Atletico Madrid: Grbic; Molina, Witsel, Savic, Reinildo; M Llorente, Koke, Saul, Lemar; Joao Felix, Morata

10 thought on “Juventus-Atletico Madrid: Kean disciplinary action taken”
  1. He cares more about his lame celebrations than anything else. Should have been sold anyway. Immature.

  2. It cost him a spot on the under 21 national team and still he hasn’t learned his lesson a real professional wouldn’t have ever had that as issue you show up early and leave later than anyone that is what the super stars do

  3. A blessing in disguise. Soule is better suited to the wide positions, and from what I have seen of him, has greater quality. I just hope he can put in a great performance and stake a claim.

As for Kean, he looks to be yet another young talent who lacks the maturity and hunger to fulfil their talent.
