Andrea Pirlo has grown after his disappointing end at Juventus and the Fatih Karagumruk coach recently hinted at a return to Italy at the end of this season.

It’s been almost two years since the Italian coach’s one-season spell in charge of the Bianconeri came to an end. Whilst he achieved a top four finish and two trophies, it wasn’t enough to keep his job and he took a break for a year before taking over at Karagumruk in June of last year.

Pirlo discussed his growth since his Juventus spell when speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport recently, and he also hinted at a possible return to Serie A in the future, noting that he had been offered a new deal with Karagumruk but hadn’t made a decision yet.

Calciomercato.com highlights how several Italian clubs have been interested in Pirlo in recent months, with teams like Cremonese, Sampdoria and Spezia all considering appointing the 43-year-old Italian coach.

For now, no top Italian sides have emerged for Pirlo, meaning he’d be more likely to return to a mid-table club should he make the jump back to Serie A in the summer.

Things will become clearer at the end of the season, especially if some clubs decide to make a change once the summer begins.
