Torino want to sign a new striker in the summer and are set to open talks for Werder Bremen forward Niclas Fullkrug, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

The 30-year-old German forward has been quietly impressing in the Bundesliga, scoring 19 goals in 33 league games last season, and he shot to international prominence after being one of Germany’s few bright spots at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, scoring two goals across three group stage outings.

Torino clearly have an Andrea Belotti sized hole in their frontline, needing a reliable forward to replace the Italian. Antonio Sanabria has netted seven this season for the Granata, leaving the team hungry for goals.

Di Marzio reports that Torino are fans of Fullkrug and are planning to start talks for the Werder Bremer striker, wanting to understand the margins of a possible deal.

The 30-year-old is contracted to the Bundesliga outfit until June 2025 and has continued to impress this season, scoring 15 in 24 league outings.
