There are reports in England that Cristiano Ronaldo is ready to quit under-performing Manchester United, with Jose Mourinho’s Roma among the clubs interested.

CR7 only left Serie A over the summer after three years at Juventus, in which he was crowned Capocannoniere last season.

The 35-year-old returned to Manchester United on a contract until June 2023, but while he has contributed an impressive 14 goals in 26 competitive appearances, the team has struggled under both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and now Ralf Rangnick.

It has already been reported by numerous sources that Ronaldo is unhappy with the standard of the squad and will walk away in the summer if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.

Now The Sun claims the clubs potentially interested in drafting in Ronaldo are Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Roma.

The Giallorossi would be a huge shock, partly because CR7 only just left Juventus and Serie A, but also as they are even less likely to qualify for the Champions League than Manchester United.

Under American ownership, the club brought in Mourinho and director general Tiago Pinto, giving the side a definite Portuguese flavour.

Mou already worked with Ronaldo at Real Madrid and that would be a reunion, but CR7’s salary makes the report frankly improbable.

11 thought on “Could Mourinho and Roma tempt Ronaldo from Manchester United?”
  1. PSG will take him purely to cash in on the look of having both Messi and Ronaldo on the same team – taking money from the foolish and stupid.

  2. He won’t go to Bayern for sure, they’re not stupid and it’s against their policy to sign old money-loving primadonnas. Inter has Marotta, he left Juve after they signed CR7. I think Penaldo is done

  3. If he’s unsatisfied with the quality of the Man U squad, why would he even consider Roma, which is criticized daily by Mou? Doesn’t make any sense lol.

  4. Lol, Roma? They arent even guaranteed to play in the EUROPA LEAGUE. Haha.
The way things are gong, Mourinho will be fired before Rinaldo goes anywhere. Two arrogant Portuguese guys living on their past glory
