Joaquin Correa wants to reunite with Simone Inzaghi at Inter, who are reportedly scheduled to meet with Lazio.

Maurizio Sarri revealed the Argentine is not in the ‘ideal mental condition to play matches’ ahead of the opening game against Empoli on Saturday.

The rumours regarding Correa’s future at Lazio continues, with Everton also mentioned as possible suitors, but the player wants a move to reigning champions Inter to reunite with Inzaghi.

Lazio are asking for €37m for the 27-year-old, who arrived Sevilla in August 2018 and had experience from Serie A with Sampdoria in 2015-16.

The former Estudiantes star arrived for a reported €15.3m and the Aquile believe his value has more than doubled in the last three years.

SportItalia report Inter, however, have scheduled to meet with Lazio and hope to close a deal at €30m.

The Nerazzurri have been linked with Marcus Thuram and Lorenzo Insigne as possible alternatives should they miss out on Correa.

Gladbach ‘reluctant’ to sell Thuram to Inter, but…

Premier League side Everton are hot on his heels too and have reached an agreement with the Aquile over a possible move to England for the striker, who holds out hoping for a move to the Serie A giants from Milan.

Everton have, according to the broadcaster, the economic availability to satisfy Lazio, but the player has not given the green light to enter talks with the Toffees.

The report claims he is still ‘waiting and hoping’ for a move to Inter, ready to start the season with an uncertain future.
