These two sides already met on Saturday night in Serie A and it ended 0-0, but that won’t be an option in the Coppa Italia format.

Poland international Piatek made his debut off the bench in that game, but he is in the starting XI now for the first time since his €35m transfer from Genoa.

Piatek loves the Coppa Italia, as he scored four goals on his Genoa debut against Lecce in August and another two with Virtus Entella.

He is flanked by Samu Castillejo and Fabio Borini, with Franck Kessie and Tiemoue Bakayoko joining Paquetá in midfield.

Diego Laxalt and Ignazio Abate are the major changes at full-back, but Pepe Reina, Cristian Zapata, Lucas Biglia and Jack Bonaventura are injured.

Napoli had started all four strikers – Dries Mertens, Arkadiusz Milik, Lorenzo Insigne and Jose Callejon – in a very attack-minded 4-4-2 at the weekend, but the Belgian and Spaniard are bumped to the bench and Insigne returns to his more usual role alongside Milik.

Allan returns after transfer speculation with Paris Saint-Germain, but Marek Hamsik is still only fit enough for a spot on the bench.

This is the 16th Coppa Italia encounter between the clubs and so far Milan have won seven, drawn four and lost four.

When they’ve met at San Siro, Napoli won just once, 2-1 in January 2017, losing four and drawing three.

The Rossoneri haven’t beaten Napoli in the Coppa Italia since a 2-0 result here in December 2014, followed by three stalemates and six losses.
