The Coppa Italia Round of 16 begins today with Atalanta hosting Venezia at the Gewiss Stadium.
It kicks off at 16.30 UK time.
Gian Piero Gasperini is not expected to rotate much, although 18-year-old defender Giorgio Scalvini is likely to start at the back.
Robin Gosens and Duvan Zapata are injured, Marco Sportiello, Davide Zappacosta and Roberto Piccoli are not available.
Atalanta have qualified for the quarter-finals in three of the last four seasons and were runner-ups twice since 2019.
Venezia coach Paolo Zanetti will rotate much more than Gasperini ahead of Sunday’s Serie A clash against Empoli.
The Lagunari haven’t won two Coppa Italia games in a row since 2000. They are without Tyronne Ebuehi (AFCON), Marco Modolo, Antonio Junior Vacca and Francesco Forte.
Caldara is expected to start after missing Sunday’s Serie A clash against Milan due to a suspension. The 27-year-old is a product of Atalanta academy.
