Antonio Conte confessed his ‘emotional moment’ at the Juventus Stadium and met with directors ahead of the England game.

There had been fears around his return to Turin for this international friendly, having left the club on tense terms, especially when a public row erupted last week with Juve patron John Elkann.

“I saw President Andrea Agnelli and director Beppe Marotta before the game. It was a pleasure, as always. We went back to the past,” said Conte at a Press conference after the 1-1 draw.

“It was already an emotional moment when we came here for the training session. Stepping through the gates, going into the locker room to sit down in my old spot.

“Seeing the area of the touchline I wore down from pacing. It was all wonderful.

“I was very pleased to be back at the Juventus Stadium, as I have indelible memories of this place and they will always be with me.”
