The former Bianconeri Coach, in an interview with Tuttosport due tomorrow, was openly appreciative of the Azzurri prospect's qualities.

“He is an excellent player and a good lad, but it's up to the clubs to evaluate his situation,” said the three-times Scudetto winner in early comments released this evening.

“I hope he gets to play, no matter what club it's for.

“Italian players have to change their mentality.

“I'm hoping that 2015 is going to be a positive year for Italy, bringing us the qualification for Euro 2016 in France and allowing us to assemble a team of greater quality.

“I'm counting on the emergence of some new namea and the development of some of our current players, so that we can make all Italians proud.

“As for my farewell to Juventus, I had a very heavy heart last July.”
