Antonio Conte calls Claudio Ranieri “outstanding” after he won the Premier League with Leicester City.

It was Conte’s future side, Chelsea, who officially handed Leicester the title when they drew with Tottenham Hotspur last night, and the Italy CT complimented Ranieri.

“Ranieri has done an outstanding job with his Leicester,” the Azzurri boss told ANSA.

“It crowns an exemplary career and he really deserves the esteem he’s receiving from fans all around the world.

“Leicester’s victory shows that, with hard work and sacrifice on the pitch, as well as seriousness and belief in your own ability, you can reach any sporting achievement.”

FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio also weighed-in with praise.

“Congratulations to Claudio Ranieri, the protagonist for an unprecedented feat. He’s a symbol of Italian football abroad, with style and competence he’s written a beautiful page in the history of sport.”
