The former Italy and Juventus Coach won the FA Cup this evening with a 1-0 victory over Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.

“It was not easy, as Manchester United at this moment are on paper stronger than we are, just as Arsenal were before,” Conte told Fox Sports Italia.

“We won today because we had the humility and work-rate. When you work at this club, there are some pretty heavy rumours from the first game and those affected the players.”

He was asked if this victory would make any difference to his situation at Chelsea.

“My position does not change. I didn’t want to listen to any other proposal, as my decision was very clear, to respect my contract at Chelsea and continue my work.

“I remain on that position. In two years we won the Premier League and the FA Cup, I think that I proved in England too that I am a winner, a serial winner, despite difficulties.

“It’s not easy to win in England, as there aren’t trophies already booked before they even begin.”

Conte then pointedly thanked the fans and the players, but did not mention the club.
