Sassuolo goalkeeper Andrea Consigli admits the 1-1 draw with Juventus “feels like a victory.”

The Neroverdi were bottom of the table and are still without a win this season, but had taken the lead through Simone Zaza before Paul Pogba’s stunning equaliser.

“It was a great night against a strong side,” Consigli told Sky Sport Italia.

“We played open football, unlike most of their opponents, and put in a great performance that has to be the basis for our future matches. We want people to ask why Sassuolo are down there.”

The goalkeeper played a decisive part in this draw, particularly with a double save on Pogba and Carlos Tevez.

“I did well on Pogba and straight after Tevez, so that went well, thankfully. This game must give us a lot of belief, as we took points off Juve, who go around beating everyone.

“It might not be worth three points, but this 1-1 feels like a victory.”

This also feels like a win for Roma, who are now just one point adrift of the Serie A leaders.
