Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso reportedly tries to convince Dusan Vlahovic to stay at the Artemio Franchi, offering the striker a deal worth more than €4m a season.

The patron doesn’t give up on securing the Serbian striker’s services in the future, as TMW reports the striker will be offered a lucrative four-year deal worth well above €4m a year.

Barone refuses to comment on Vlahovic contract extension

Fiorentina have already proposed a deal at €4m and the situation is currently open, given that the President has assured the striker he will satisfy his requests in the future.

The patron will not stand in the way of a move, should the right offer arrive, something he previously proved in the Federico Chiesa transfer to Juventus in 2020.

The 21-year-old, capped 10 times by Serbia, had his real breakthrough in 2020-21, scoring 21 goals in Serie A.

He has followed up with four goals in seven League games this term and Commisso wants to make sure he extends the deal expiring in June 2023 before entering the last year.

Vlahovic: ‘I stayed for Italiano, Ibra told me to never give up’

But the situation is complicated, as Inter were already asking about the player when they were looking for Romelu Lukaku’s replacement, while Atletico Madrid wanted to sign the youngster.

Juventus are also, according to the outlet, considering to make a move for the former FK Partizan star.

  1. It’s Monday, time for another iteration of the “Will he stay or will he go” show featuring Football Italia’s favorite protruder of tongue, Dusan “I’ll stay until I leave” Vlahovic. Come on man, running the same story isn’t news, or are you merely devoid of material to write? I’m sure a squirrel ran onto a pitch somewhere, that would be something to expand on, eh?

  2. Can we just let go of this guy called dusan !!? If he’s never willing to stay, then allow him leave..all I know is “fiorentina will stand”finito

  3. please boss rocco, don’t try to persuade him again, just get rid of him, italy has no shortage of reliable strikers who are suitable for Fiorentina..
