Inter legend Fulvio Collovati has called for Simone Inzaghi to be sacked after losing three of the opening seven Serie A games.
The club has so far backed the tactician, who won the Coppa Italia and the Italian Super Cup last season, beating Juventus in extra time in both Finals.
“Both Inzaghi and Max Allegri are responsible for the performances of Inter and Juve, but we must also spread some of the responsibility to the clubs and players,” Collovati told Calcio Totale on Rai 2.
“In my view, Inzaghi ought to be sacked. The problem at Inter is there are too many players who are out of shame, I can count at least seven or eight.
“Evidently the pre-season training was wrong and the coach is responsible for that. If he is not fired now, I think it is purely for economic reasons.”
Inzaghi only recently signed a new contract holding him to Inter until June 2024.
