“We need to prepare for the perfect performance against an opponent that simply has to be respected,” said the Coach in a Press conference.

“We must try to start getting points against the big clubs too and this is the ideal opportunity. We don’t care how Roma will set out tactically, our own system will not change based on that.

“We just want to secure our Serie A safety as soon as possible, then all the analysis of what went wrong this season can wait until that is done.”

The Udinese fans will only enter the stadium 15 minutes late as a sign of protest against recent form.

“Their decision is to be respected, because the fans are a fundamental part of the club. They have always behaved very well with us and we want them to be proud.

“It is crucial that we stay in the game to the final whistle and don’t let our heads drop if we go behind, the way we did against Bologna.”

Udinese patron Gino Pozzo said the only reason Colantuono hadn’t been fired was the lack of suitable alternatives.

“I am concentrated only on this game and my destiny will be decided by the club, not by what people write in the papers. I am definitely accustomed to this sort of speculation.”

Dias Felipe and Molla Wague return to the squad, but Ivan Piris is suspended with Guilherme sidelined.

Udinese have lost their last five meetings with Roma, home and away, not winning in Friuli since November 2011.
