Federico Chiesa is still languishing in poor form with Juventus and doubts surrounding his future could open the door for Liverpool.

The 26-year-old Italian winger briefly looked to rediscover his magic in the 2-1 loss to Napoli at the start of this month, finding the equaliser in the 81st minute, but his last two outings against Atalanta and Genoa showed that storm clouds still circle overhead.

Chiesa has less than 18 months left on his contract with Juventus and the club have explored a new deal that’ll extend his stay by a year to June 2026, giving them some protection in the transfer market. For the time being, no agreement has been reached.

Page five of today’s Corriere dello Sport details how doubts have begun to emerge at Juventus regarding Chiesa, with some starting to lose faith in the winger as he continues to struggle with poor form and fitness concerns.

The 26-year-old is hoping for a reason to smile with Italy, taking part in their two friendlies in the United States, but a disappointing end to the season could push him to the market with just 12 months left on his deal in the summer, opening the door for interested clubs like Liverpool.
